Slow but steady wins the race: De Witte’s vision to combine natural elegance with timeless design is symbolized by her logo, a turtle containing a dress symbol. Her designs are often a surreal mixture of materials and shapes created with an obvious sense of humour. After having built a strong client base for ten years, Rianne de Witte is now being widely acknowledged for her work. In 2006 she received the Dutch Design Award and she recently designed a collection with celebrity Wendy van Dijk for Dutch department store V&D.

Rapanui

The Essentials

Rapanui was set up in early 2008 by brothers Mart and Rob Drake-Knight. Their products range from underwear to accessories, and include comfy essentials like t-shirts, hoodies, jeans, tanks, and polos sure to please the inner California girl or boy in us all. Bespoke versions of its clothing have also been made for multinationals and charities including Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream and the Marine Conservation Society.

Rain Tees

Rain Tees is a line of t-shirts and apparel for women and children designed by youth living in endangered rain forests across Central and South America. Andra donated school supplies to the children and asked them to illustrate what they see happening in their world every day. Each Rain Tee features their thoughts illustrations and names. The result? Colorful graphics in bold colors that are sure to make you stand out in the everyday urban jungle.

For every Rain tee sold, a child involved in Kids Saving the Rain Forest, Costa Rica will receive a tree they can plant to replace one that has been destroyed.

Every Rain Tee is helping the planet by supporting fair trade and fair labor practices, promoting reforestation, creating environmental education for youth living in both endangered tropical forests and in our local communities and combating the negative affects of climate change and agricultural pollution by supporting organic farming and eco-conscious apparel production.

Rain Tees also creates “green jobs” for workers in rain forest communities so they do not feel forced to work in deforestation, animal trafficking or oil industries to feed their families.

Poplove

The Essentials

Street-wear meets glam through PopLove’s eco conscious designs. The designers Shai Wallach and Andrea Hughes use recycled and organic materials to create their garments.

The duo produces unique garments which leave a minimal impact on the environment. Their primary concept is that style should not be sacrificed for sustainability.

Ethic-Chic

PopLove designs two lines of clothing:
- T-shirts made from 100% Organic cotton certified by G.O.T.S. with prints using eco dyes.
- Fashionable streetwear created from recycled materials. The textiles used to produce their items are sourced from local charity organizations as well as a local clothing recycling programs.

All Poplove items are produced either in their independent studio or with local small-scale manufacturers in Tel Aviv, supporting their local economy and minimizing transport fuel.

Each PopLove garment utilizes unique finishing techniques such as hand-painting, hand-dyeing or screen-printing, all of which are done in their independent studio.
